Following a very impressive 2025 offseason, the Chicago Bears consider themselves to be in ‘win now” mode for the 2025 season.
Head coach Ben Johnson sent a message to his players when they met for the first time in early April: It is time to win, and win now. With the roster that Chicago has, it is clear that the rebuild is over and that it’s time to start winning games moving forward. The Bears have enough talent on both sides of the ball and should be able to contend for the playoffs in 2025.
The Chicago Bears have massively improved their roster

Bears general manager Ryan Poles finally put his foot on the gas pedal and did everything he could to improve the Bears’ roster. Chicago added major pieces on the offensive line, revitalizing the whole interior of the line. Poles also upgraded the defensive front, signing Grady Jarrett, Dayo Odeyingbo, and drafting Shemar Turner in the second round of the NFL draft.
Most importantly, the Bears have continued to add pieces to make quarterback Caleb Williams’ life easier. They drafted Colston Loveland and Luther Burden with their first two picks in the NFL draft. Adding these pieces to an offense that includes DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Cole Kmet, and D’Andre Swift will make the offense have even more potential for 2025. Ben Johnson’s offense is expected to take a massive leap, potentially into the top 10 of the NFL.
According to the betting odds from ESPNBet, the Bears indeed do have a shot at the playoffs this upcoming season.
Chicago Bears betting odds to make the playoffs revealed

Via ESPNBet, the odds of the Bears making the playoffs are currently set at +160, which isn’t that bad of odds. However, the odds of them missing the playoffs are better at -190.
Compared to other teams in the NFC, the Bears have just higher odds than the Falcons and Cardinals, who are at +155 and +140, respectively. However, Chicago has better betting odds at making the playoffs over the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, and Seattle Seahawks.
It’s interesting to note that Minnesota is not favored to make the playoffs as well. The Vikings’ odds of making the playoffs is still a little better than Chicago, at +130. Both teams will be likely contending for a playoff spot, they will most likely be fighting for a Wild Card spot in 2025.
While they are not favored to make the playoffs, the Bears definetley have enough talent to at the very least contend for the playoffs.
If Chicago fails to have a record above .500, this upcoming season will be a major failure.
