The Chicago Bears have been focusing on two potential locations for a new state-of-the-art stadium. In February 2023, they purchased 326 acres of property in Arlington Heights. The Bears have also been considering building a brand new stadium in downtown Chicago, replacing Soldier Field. In 2024, the team revealed full redevelopment plans for a new stadium by the Lakefront.
According to a new report from the Chicago Tribune, the plans have shifted yet again.
The Chicago Bears are shifting focus towards a new stadium in Arlington Heights

According to a new report from the Chicago Tribune, the Bears will be shifting focus towards a brand new stadium in Arlington Heights. It looks like the Bears could actually be moving from downtown Chicago in the near future.
The Bears also released a statement to the Tribune on Friday.
“Over the last few months, we have made significant progress with the leaders in Arlington Heights, and look forward to continuing to work with state and local leaders on making a transformative economic development project for the region a reality”.
Since being hired by the Bears, team president Kevin Warren has mainly focused on developing a new enclosed roof stadium for the team.
Even though nothing is official yet, it looks like there is a good chance that the Arlington Heights deal could actually happen now. The next step is to get the shovel in the ground and begin building the stadium after years of discussing and negotiating.
