Today we take a look at the Chicago Bears running backs for our Fantasy Football projections this year. If playing in fantasy leagues isn’t your only option and you would like to bet on games this season, check out 888sport football betting for all of your betting needs this upcoming football season!

Previous Positions: Quarterback |

Running backs

Matt Forte might be one of the more underrated running backs in the league today as well as in fantasy leagues.

The 6-foot-1, 221 pound Forte consistently puts up solid fantasy points week after week. He does it without being one of the top backs drafted in most leagues. That could work to your advantage.

Forte gives you a lot of value in a late first round or second round draft slot.  Not only does Forte gain points on the ground with his tough running but he also is a factor in the receiving game as well.

Last season Forte finished with 44 receptions for 340 yards and a touchdown. Although that’s his worst receiving numbers of his career, the past has shown Forte can be a solid receiving back for you as well.

Forte will be backed up by Michael Bush for the second straight season.

Bush serves as a flex option on most weeks because of the fact he’s poached touchdowns from Matt Forte last season. The Bears used Bush in goal line sets and it worked out well for them as he finished with five rushing touchdowns and 411 yards in 13 games played.

If you need a middle round or late round back and Bush is there then he’s defiantly worth the gamble. I expect the Bears to use him in a lot of short yard situations and goal line sets again this season.

2013 Projections:

Matt Forte – 240 attempts, 1,024 yards, 8 touchdowns.  51 receptions, 502 yards, 2 touchdowns.

Michael Bush – 123 attempts, 400 yards, 4 touchdowns.
