The Chicago Bears front office can use their first four picks in Thursday’s draft in various ways depending on how the board shapes out on day one. With all of the additions to the trenches in free agency and on the trade market, the Bears can be much more flexible with all of the talent that will be available in the first two days of the draft.
This draft class is unlike the previous two in terms of what positions are the strongest. The last two drafts have been anchored by top-end quarterback talent, which is not the case this year. This class is very similar to the 2022 draft where the depth is extremely strong, but the quality of the quarterback prospects is lacking. Because of this, Ryan Poles is ready for some interesting scenarios that could be thrown his way this week.
Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles is ready for all “wild” draft moves

With all of the uncertainty in this draft after the Cleveland Browns’ selection at number two overall, Poles knows that this Thursday can take a few different turns.
“I think this one is gonna be a little wild,” Poles said. “But we’re going to be prepared for the scenarios that pop up.”
Many are hoping that Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty can make it to the Bears’ at the 10th pick. The Heisman Trophy runner-up would be a great start to the organizations’ drafting in the Ben Johnson era. However, there is a strong possibility that Jeanty is gone before the Bears are on the clock. The front office could pivot to prospects like Tyler Warren from Penn State or Omarion Hampton out of North Carolina if this is the case.
