The Chicago Bears are starting to make their final roster cuts as the team has to cut-down the roster to 53 players by 4:00 p.m. EST tomorrow. The team has already made some moves today, trying to slim their roster down and many more are expected to be announced as the day goes on.
Keep in mind that practice squad rosters have been extended to 10 players.
Here is an updated list of cuts as they happen leading into Saturday’s deadline:
1:32 p.m.: Bears cut Armanti Edwards
The Bears announce they have cut WR Armanti Edwards. You might remember Edwards as the guy who helped Appalachian State upset Michigan a few years ago.

1:00 p.m.: Bears put Jordan Lynch on waivers
The Jordan Lynch era in Chicago could be a very short stay. The Bears told Lynch they will place him on waivers. However, Lynch could land on the practice squad if no team claims him.

12:10 p.m.: Bears announce they have cut TE Jeron Masturd
Brad Biggs reports the Bears have cut TE Jeron Masturd. Martellus Bennett is obviously the starter, so that leaves Dante Rosario and Matthew Mulligan still left on the roster behind Bennett. The Bears have 20 more cuts to go.

11:30 a.m: Bears cut offensive lineman Rob Turner
Turner was added to the team when center Brian de la Puente sprained a ligament. As de la Puente gets healthy, Turner is gone.
