The Chicago Bears officially ended the seasons of wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and nose tackle Eddie Goldman Wednesday, placing both players on injured reserve.
For Jeffery it was a disappointing 2015 campaign in which he was the teams No. 1 receiver for the first time in his career. Jeffery missed seven games this season, but managed to lead the team with 807 yards on 54 receptions. The Bears will have a big decision to make with the free agent-to-be this offseason. However, it’s hard to imagine the Bears not bringing Jeffery back via a long-term contract or the franchise tag.
On the flip side, Eddie Goldman had an encouraging rookie year. Has earned the respect of coaches and teammates alike as he's evolved.

As for Goldman, the rookie played well in 15 games with the Bears this season. His 4.5 sacks were fourth among NFL rookies and the most by a Bears rookie since Mark Anderson’s 12 in 2006. The 21-year-old has a bright future in the NFL as the Bears hope he is their answer at the nose tackle position.
The Bears signed defensive linemen Greg Scruggs and Terry Williams to fill the roster spots.
