On his recent appearance on the St. Brown podcast Caleb Williams revealed what he wants to see in his next head coach.
The Chicago Bears Caleb Williams had an outstanding rookie season in which he dealt with a ton of ups and a ton of downs including the firing of his head coach. On his recent appearance on the St. Brown Podcast Williams revealed what qualities he’d like to see in the Chicago Bears next head coach.
An outstanding rookie season
In his first season in the NFL after being the number one overall pick Caleb Williams had a really solid rookie campaign. Starting all 17 of the Bears games Williams threw for 20 touchdowns with only 6 interceptions, with having a completion percentage of 62.5%, with also leading the league in sacks with 68 due to a poor offensive line. Williams also managed to throw for 3,541 yards which is a Chicago Bears rookie quarterback record.
Now that Caleb Williams has had a full year in the NFL under his belt his sophomore campaign should come a lot more easier especially if the Bears add to their offensive line and add an offensive minded head coach which Williams expressed is who he wants to see the Chicago Bears hire.

Given how special of a talent Caleb Williams is it would make a ton of sense for the Bears to go that route. Given they ranked at the bottom in total offense, passing, rushing, and scoring offense it’s so important to bring in a coach that can unlock Williams full potential as well as utilize the offensive weapons Williams has around him.
In his interview on the St. Brown Podcast Caleb Williams disclosed the qualities he’d like to see in the Bears next head coach. Williams when asked the question immediately said:
”Strong minded and a leader of men. Selfishly I want an offensive minded guy so I can build with him and be with that coach for the next 15+ years. And that way I can learn and grown.”
Having Williams come out an say this with with such enthusiasm that the Bears need to get an offensive minded coach is exactly what I have been saying they need to do and is what is needed to take Caleb Williams game to the next level. With the Chicago Bears set to interview the former Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Mike McCarthy, who is considered a leader of men and an offensive minded head coach, pairing him with Caleb Williams can only produce success for the Bears next season.
