It looks like the Chicago Bulls are done spending in this NBA Free Agency period. Today the team re-signed point guard Aaron Brooks to a one-year deal according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.

With not much available as far as point guards go in free agency, bringing back Brooks is a solid move. The 30-year-old point guard started off the season hot last year serving as a backup to Derrick Rose. Once Rose was hurt, Brooks’ minutes increased but his production seemed to cool down. He wasn’t effective in the Bulls two playoff series and disappeared vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Still Brooks serving as a backup to Rose isn’t a bad thing this season. The Bulls need a backup and the aging Kirk Hinrich doesn’t seem to be the answer.
Brooks signed the one-year deal at the minimum salary leaving the Bulls with a Taxpayer-MLE still available. The Bulls current roster stands at 14 with the re-signing of Brooks.
