The future for the Chicago Cubs is officially beginning. The Cubs have called up prospect Javier Baez from Iowa and he will join the team in time for their series with the Colorado Rockies.
The report comes from Baez’s brother who tweeted “Congrats to my brother @javy23baez on getting called up! Welcome to the show baby!!”
Now that Baez is up, the speculation begins for prospect Kris Bryant who could join the team this season. It will also be interesting to see if Addison Russell moves up to Triple-A Iowa.
