Just a day after the Chicago Cubs made a deal at the MLB Winter Meetings, the Chicago White Sox have made their move.
The White Sox have acquired infielder Brett Lawrie from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for left-hander Zachary Erwin and right-hander J.B. Wendelken.

The deal was rumored to be gaining some steam on Tuesday, and Wednesday it became official. He hit .260/.299/.407 in his only season with the Athletics and will bring some much-needed help to the White Sox infield.
At 25-years-old, Lawrie figures to be the team’s third or second baseman of the future. The White Sox still have infielders Tyler Saladino, Mike Olt and Carlos Sanchez as they await the arrival of Tim Anderson.
