The Chicago White Sox loaded up on prospects during the 2016 offseason, acquiring talent in trades with the Boston Red Sox and Washington Nationals.
Chicago added Yoan Moncanda and Michael Kopech in a deal with the Red Sox, and received a nice haul highlighted by pitcher Lucas Giolitio from the Nationals.
On Thursday, Giolito threw the best game of his White Sox minor league career.
Giolito threw a 7-inning no-hitter for the Charlotte Knights against the Syracuse Chiefs, which happen to be the Triple-A affiliate of the Nationals.

It was the first game of a doubleheader as Minor League Baseball plays 7 innings when there is a doubleheader.
Giolito finished the game giving up no hits and runs, walking three batters and striking out three batters.
He’s currently ranked as the top pitching prospect in the White Sox farm system and the No. 2 overall prospect in the organization.
