Overall Record for the season: 24-8
Sorry for not posting my picks last week. Personal matters got in the way and the Fighting Irish drove me out of town when I was there last Saturday cheering on my Seminoles. Alas, we had another perfect week two weeks ago so I hope you were paying attention.
Tulane vs. Houston
Best Bet: Houston (-8.5)
I think that this is a pretty safe bet. The Cougars at home vs. a 5-5 Tulane team that hasn’t really done anything spectacular this year. Houston all the way.
Michigan State vs. Nebraska
Best Bet: Michigan State (-1.5)
Nebraska is absolutely terrible this year, I would hope that the Spartans can come out of Lincoln with a win or they are not the team America thought they are. But, they shouldn’t have to worry about that because I think my high school football team can make it a pretty interesting game against the Cornhuskers.
Colgate vs. Army
Best Bet: Over 37
This seems awfully low for a matchup with two teams that have a combined two losses on the season. I think that they will surpass this 37 point threshold with ease. Army will come out on top so maybe a parlay with Army covering might be an option for you risky folk out there.
Utah State vs. Colorado State
Best Bet: Utah State (-28)
I love the Aggies this year and it’s so awesome to see them in the top 25. They are covering machines and the Rams aren’t going to stand in their way. As I’ve said before, good teams win, great teams cover.
Lock of the Week
Citadel vs. Alabama
Best Bet: Citadel (+51.5)
Call me crazy, but this one is kind of a stretch for the Tide. 35 points is a big spread, but 51.5?! That’s crazy. I don’t care who you are but that is not a guarantee. Plus, Alabama usually keeps it quick and by the numbers when taking care of Bush League opponents like Citadel. Go Bulldogs!
