Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Fans Voices program. I’ve been given a device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the service.

You’re about a month and a half into your new years resolution of getting into better shape.  There are a ton of electronics to help maximize your workout and get you the best results.

Are you looking for a new fitness tracker to help track your workouts? One that has been a hit on the market recently is the Fitbit Flex which features a comfortable and sleek design.

The Flex helps track your everyday steps. Whether you’re walking from a CTA station to work, playing rec soccer or basketball, and even working out at a gym in Chicago. The Flex will track and record your steps as it saves it into it’s database which you can access.

A Fitbit app and online user-face helps you track your results and see how you are doing for the week. All of its five-dots worth of data is stored through the app or mobile website. It’s a simple $99 bracelet that helps you eat better, become more active and sleep better with its different modes.

I wear my Fitbit Flex everyday and only have to take it off when I charge it. The battery on the bracelet is great too. It can last up to five days on a single charge and only takes an hour or so to get a full charge. It’s very covenant to charge if you have free time.  It’s so comfortable that you won’t even feel it when you’re sleeping and it’s very easy to hide under a long-sleeve shirt.

My time with the Fitbit Flex has been nothing but great. When I reach my goal of 10,000 steps a day it buzzes to let me know I’ve reached that goal. Trust me, it’s a great feeling when it buzzes to your accomplishment. The step tracker really is the Flex’s bread and butter.

The good:

  • Easy to use
  • Long battery life
  • Thin and comfortable design
  • Accurate
  • Wireless

The Bad:

  • No data rewards
  • Hard to take on and off

Final Score:

4/5
