The IceHogs were between a rock & a hard place. Facing possibly elimination from the AHL Calder Cup Finals, it was crunch time. They had to Win Game 4. Period. There was no other option. By the time the final buzzer sounded, the Hogs had Won. Game Winning goal was credited to Victor Ejdsell, assisted by Matthew Highmore and Gustav Forsling.
We saw a change in starting goalie for Rockford for the first time in Post Season. The IceHogs put veteran Jeff Glass in net last night. This change seemed to turn the Hogs’ luck. Glass put in a stellar performance stopping 28 out of 30 SOG.
With this Win, the teams now have to play a Game 5 in the series. Game 5 will be played tonight in Rockford. Puck drops at 7:00pm. Series tally to date shows the Hogs down 3-1 and they must win all of the remaining games scheduled in the series in order to advance to the Calder Cup Finals.
