Kris Bryant had himself a game against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday.
The 24-year-old went 5-5, with 3 home runs, 2 doubles, 6 RBI and 4 runs as the Chicago Cubs beat the Reds 11-8. Bryant’s incredible night put him in the record books as well.
Bryant became the first player in Major League history to hit three home runs and two doubles in the same game. But that’s not all.
He became the youngest player in franchise history to hit three home runs in a game, passing the great Ernie Banks by ten days. His 16 total bases also tied a franchise record.

Bryant is currently slotted to start at third base for the National League in the 2016 MLB All-Star Game. His 21 home runs and 57 RBI have put him in the early talks for NL MVP.
The Cubs also got solo home runs from Jake Arrieta and Anthony Rizzo as the team avoided losing for the seventh time in eight games. Arrieta earned his 12th win on the season.
