Last season, some new life was put into the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers rivalry.
The Packers have had the better half of the rivalry since 2010, going 10-3 against the Bears including the NFC Championship Game en-route to winning the Super Bowl. But last season, the Bears finally won at Lambeau Field again and talked some trash.
It all started when defensive end/linebacker Lamarr Houston told reporters he really doesn’t like Aaron Rodgers, following the Bears win on Thanksgiving Night. Even newcomer Pernell McPhee had some words to say.
On Monday, Houston doubled-down on his thoughts when he appeared on ESPN’s SportsNation.
“He’s a little arrogant for me. He’s a little too arrogant,” Houston said in his appearance via ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson.
“He’s a cheesehead. I’m a Bear. He’s a cheesehead. But I have a lot of respect for his game, I will say that. He’s a great quarterback. As a player, I have a lot of respect for him … but the whole championship belt thing kind of gets on my nerve.”

With the Bears under a new regime and seemingly making strides to improve this season, the rivalry could be back in full force. The Packers have pretty much owned the NFC North division since 2012 but did finish second to the Minnesota Vikings.
The Bears and Packers will first meet on Thursdsay, Oct. 20 at Lambeau Field for another night game.
