Relax Chicago Bears fans, Matt Forte isn’t signing with the Green Bay Packers. Instead, he’s going to be re-united with wide receiver Brandon Marshall in New York.

He will join Marshall on a team that was one game away from the playoffs last season and is expected to contend again. The only negative is that there is also a question about who their starting quarterback will be, as Ryan Fitzpatrick has not been resigned yet.
Rumors were flying that Forte was in talks with the Packers, which was not a favorite with Bears fans. But in the end, he decided on the Jets which made one former teammate happy:
Forte gives them a dual threat back, and a great blocker out of the backfield. With the loss of Chris Ivory to the Jacksonville Jaguars, it fills an immediate need.
