We have officially hit Week 6 in the NFL season and the NFC North race is getting tight. Going into the week, the Bears lead the division at 3-1 followed by the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings at 2-2-1. Detroit is in fourth place, but is just 2-3 and aren’t too far back.

Here’s the Week 6 outlook for the entire NFC North in Week 6:

Chicago Bears (3-1)

Week 6 opponent: at Miami Dolphins

Coming off their bye week, the Bears will be on the road to face the Miami Dolphins. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky’s week four game was a historic one as he became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw six touchdowns, pass for over 350 yards, and rush for over 50 yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Khalil Mack could make history with a forced fumble as he would be the first player to record a forced fumble in five consecutive games. With a win, the Bears will push their record to 4-1 with consecutive home games coming up against the New England Patriots and New York Jets.

Green Bay Packers (2-2-1)

Week 6 opponent: at home vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Packers will look to get back into the win column on Monday Night against a struggling San Francisco 49ers team. When the season started, this game was viewed as one of the marquee games featuring a duel of quarterbacks between legendary Aaron Rodgers and the promising Jimmy Garoppolo.

The 49ers have struggled since Garoppolo was lost for the season in week three after he tore his ACL. The Packers haven’t lost a game at home this season and it may not change on Monday Night. Packers kicker Mason Crosby hopes to rebound following the worse game of his career as he missed four field goals and two extra points in a 31-23 loss against the Detroit Lions last week.

Minnesota Vikings (2-2-1)

Week 6 opponent: At home against Arizona Cardinals

Minnesota is coming off an impressive win on the road against the defending champions Philadelphia Eagles. On Sunday, the Vikings will host the another struggling NFC team in the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals offense has been trending upwards since quarterback Josh Rosen was named the starter in week four.

The Vikings defense will look to reassert their dominance as they have given up 21 or more points in their last four games which is a rarity for Mike Zimmer’s defense. On offense, the team hopes to get the services of running back Dalvin Cook who has been hampered by a hamstring injury that kept him out of last week’s game.

Detroit Lions (2-3)

Week 6 opponent: Bye week

The Lions will be on their bye week following their 31-23 win against the Packers last week. Head coach Matt Patricia’s team has been much improved and competitive since starting the season 0-2.

They have picked up wins of eight points or more in two of the last three weeks, and their only loss was by one point which came on a field goal at the end of regulation. If things go right for the Lions this weekend, they could find themselves in second place in the NFC North.
