The Chicago Bears are expected to pursue Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak as their next head coach according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Kubiak served as the Houston Texans head coach from 2006-2013 going 63-66 during that time. He also worked under Mike Shanahan in Washington and has ties to Kyle Shanahan, which could be a potential offensive coordinator in Chicago.
With the move the Bears could add a experienced head coach to match their young General Manager Ryan Pace who was hired last week. Kubiak is now able to interview for open positions in the NFL after the Ravens were eliminated by the Patriots on Saturday.
No interview has been set.
Bears prepared to make a major push for Ravens OC Gary Kubiak, per source. Kubiak now free to talk with teams about HC vacancies.
