The IceHogs hosted the Griffins for the last time in regular season play last night. They were looking for redemption from the sound spanking they received from the Griffins on Wednesday night. Last night the Hogs were able to return the favor by soundly beating the Griffins 6-2.
Goals for Rockford were scored by Mark McNeill, Peter Regin, Garrett Ross and Ryan Hartman. Both Ross and Hartman were credited with 2 goals each. Antti Raanta was in net for the IceHogs.
IceHogs News – The IceHogs have signed Vince Hinostroza on March 31st to a ATO. Hinostroza is a 2012 6th round Draft choice by the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks had announced earlier in March that they had agreed to terms with Hinostroza on a three year contract. The Blackhawks announced on April 2nd that they have agreed to terms with Tanner Kero and have assigned him to Rockford. The AHL announced on April 2nd that Zach Miskovic(D) was named the IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year for the IceHogs.
Next home game is Saturday April 4th at 7pm at the BMO Harris Bank Centre in Rockford.
