Following their big win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, the Chicago Bears sit at 8-3 and in first place with a 1.5 game lead over the Minnesota Vikings.
By playing on Thursday, the Bears were able to get some much-needed rest ahead of another road game in New York for Week 13.
Chicago is clicking as they have won five-straight overall and three-straight in the NFC North. It’s been a fun past few weeks for the franchise who are in a prime spot to not only clinch a playoff spot but with the division for the first time since 2010.
New head coach Matt Nagy has been able to get the most out of his offense and has found ways to get his playmakers the ball, including running back Tarik Cohen. Against the Lions, Cohen had 7 receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. He’s enjoying a breakout season in Nagy’s offense and on Monday he joined the Jim Rome show to discuss playing in this offense.
Cohen describes how much fun it is playing in Nagy’s offense, saying you never know what to expect and it’s like “backyard football”. Listen to the interview below:
The Bears are set to take on the Giants in New York on Sunday with a kickoff set for 12 p.m. CST. Check back for postgame coverage.
