The Bears interview process just gets more and more mystifying as they have requested and received permission from the Vikings to interview Mike Singletary. Singletary had an unremarkable 18-22 head coaching career over three seasons with the 49ers and since then has been coaching the Vikings linebacker corps. As much as we all love Mr. Singletary and the idea of him triumphantly returning clad in blue and orange to lead us to more Lombardi trophies than we can hold I just don’t see him getting the spot over some of the more…competitive candidates for arguably the most desirable head coaching position available in the NFL today.
