When Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez gets ahold of a baseball, it goes a long way.
Just the other day, Jimenez hit a home run that went 471 feet in Sunday’s win over the Kansas City Royals. It was the longest home run hit by a White Sox player this season as it was absolutely destroyed. A few days later, Jimenez was back at it and destroyed another home run.
During Tuesday’s game vs. the Washington Nationals at Guaranteed Rate Field, Jimenez launched a big home run to dead center field:
The ball actually landed on the concourse behind the batter’s eye, something that is tough to do at Guaranteed Rate Field. It left Eloy’s bat at 111 MPH and had a launch angle of 28 degrees.
Jimenez’s blast went 462 feet which is the longest home run at Guaranteed Rate Field since 2015:
The outfielder is starting to heat up and is slashing .230/.278/.421 with 9 home runs and 19 RBI’s. He did miss some time earlier this season with a stint on the IL but it looks like he’s starting to come around.
And if that’s the case, then it’s bad news for opposing pitchers.
