Everyday should be Willson Contreras bobblehead day.
On Friday, the Chicago Cubs hosted bobblehead day for the catcher as they opened up a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox at Wrigley Field. Contreras responded by having a career day, leading the Cubs to an 11-2 win over their Crosstown rival.
After the Cubs plated the first run of the game in the first inning, Contreras stepped up to the plate and delivered the game’s biggest hit. He hit a grand slam to extend the Cubs lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the first and they didn’t look back.

The Cubs took advantage of another poor start from White Sox pitcher Carson Fulmer. They finished the game with 15 hits and 11 runs to win their fourth-straight, all at home.
For Contreras, it was a career day. The catcher was responsible for four of those hits, going 4-for-5 and driving in a career-best 7 RBI. He hit two home runs and two doubles, becoming just the third catcher in MLB history to do so.

He’s been red hot the past two games, having 20 total bases with two home runs, three doubles and two triples. Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo also hit home runs in the Cubs’ route.
Game 2 of the series is set for Saturday afternoon in Wrigley Field.
