This past Wednesday’s match-up between the IceHogs & Wolves in Rockford ended with the Wolves being victorious at the end of the game. As with last week’s game, the first period went scoreless for both teams. Rockford’s Spencer Abbott was the first to find the back of the net 2 minutes into the 2nd frame. Chicago’s Kenny Agostino, Wade Megan and Mackenzie MacEachern scored the next 3 goals. followed by Kyle Baun for the IceHogs. Wade Megan ended the period with another goal for the Wolves. The IceHogs failed to score during the 3rd period, while the Wolves scored an additional 2 goals. Wade Megan ended up with a Hat Trick that night and was the #1 Star of the Game. Final score IceHogs 2 – Wolves 6.
Next home game is tonight in Rockford against the Iowa Wild. Then the IceHogs hit the road for the next week, returning home on January 8th for an afternoon tilt against the Wolves.
