The NFL Draft begins Thursday and all over the web mock drafts are being updated hourly. Here’s an updated look at mock drafts from the web and who they have the Chicago Bears selecting.

The Bears hold the 19th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft after finishing 8-8 and third place in the NFC North. The Bears have needs at the wide receiver position, offensive line, defensive line and corner back. Most mocks have the Bears focusing on defense, while one focuses on a offensive position.

Either way, it would be a huge statement for new GM Phil Emery to have a great first draft with the Bears. The Bears haven’t seen a real good draft for a long time with GM Jerry Angelo at the helm.

Walter Football

Walter Football has the Bears going the defensive route and selecting LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers. The Bears are thin at DT and Brockers would be ideal if the Bears decide they want to address the position in the first round.

Draft Tek

DraftTek also has the Chicago Bears going the defensive route in the NFL Draft, but at a different position. The Bears struggled at cornerback last season and let’s face it, Charles Tillman isn’t getting any younger. Kirkpatrick is one of the better corners in this years draft, and could instantly make an impact right away.

CBSSports.com

CBSsports has four different analysts give their mock drafts. All four also have the Bears selecting a defensive player with the 19th overall pick. Three of the four analysts, Rob Rang, Pat Kirwin and Pete Prisco have the Bears selecting OLB Whitney Mercilus from the University of Illinois, to boost their line backing core. Dane Brugler has the Bears selecting defensive end Nick Perry from Southern California.

NFL Draft Countdown

NFL Draft Countdown has the Bears going with a corner back as well. They have the Bears selecting Stephen Gilmore from South Carolina. Much like Kirkpatrick, Gilmore should be a starter from week one if the Bears select him. He has all the tools to be a good corner back including 4.40 40 speed.

DraftKing

Draft King has the Bears going the offensive route during the draft and fixing their offensive line. The Bears have had problems on the offensive line for the past few years, and have tried addressing it through the draft. Jonathan Martin from Stanford is a big physical offensive tackle that would fit perfect on the Bears line.
