The Chicago Cubs are holding onto a slim lead in the NL Central as they look to fight off the surging St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers. But as the season starts winding down, details about 2019 are being released.

On Wednesday, the Cubs 2019 schedule started to leak out and the team will be on the road to begin the year again.

According to The Athletic’s Sahadev Sharma, the Cubs will begin the season in Texas as part of a three-city road trip. The series in Texas will begin on March 28th with games on the 30th and 31st. They will also travel to Atlanta and Milwaukee to complete the trip.

Chicago’s home opener will be April 8th vs. Pittsburgh:

In addition to Texas, the Cubs will make a trip out to Seattle and Houston as they play the AL West. Chicago will be in Seattle on April 30th and May 1st for a quick two-game series vs. the Mariners. They will be in Houston on May 27th, 28th and 29th for a three-game series.

The Oakland A’s will come to Wrigley Field in August beginning on the 5th for a three-game series.

The Cubs will have their annual Crosstown series with a four-game series this year. The first two will be at Wrigley Field on June 18 and 19th and the final two at Guaranteed Rate on July 6th and 7th.
