According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Bears have re-signed center and team captain Roberto Garza to a one year deal. Garza graded out as the second best offensive lineman on ProFootballFocus’ website. The deal is rumored to be worth $1.5 million, which is the same deal that Brad Meester signed with the Jaguars last year.
This means that the Bears will be bringing back all 11 starters on offense for 2014, and leaves Josh McCown as the only priority free agent on offense to re-sign.

A good signing, and a 1 yr. deal gives the Bears the time to evaluate Tyler Boggs as a replacement going forward. Some mock drafts suggest Gabe Ikard or Tyler Larsen with one of our 6th. round picks. There should be any number of undrafted Centers available or even a guard drafted for a shot at
playing Center.
