The Bears have made another roster move as they opened up day one of their mini camp sessions.
The team has agreed to terms on a one year deal with defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis. The 6-1, 307 pound Ellis spent the last five seasons with the New Orleans Saints, and started 70 games for them.
Ellis was the seventh overall pick by the Saints in the 2008 NFL Draft out of USC. He has 12.5 sacks, 174 tackles and two forced fumbles in his career with the Saints.
The move is likely for depth on the defensive line, but Ellis could provide another threat along with Julius Peppers and Henry Melton for the Bears.
