Carlos Quentin will be headed to the Disabled List after injuring his shoulder Saturday while diving for a catch. According to Mark Gonzales on twitter Quentin tried dry swings but the shoulder didn’t respond “favorably”.
Quentin going to the DL means Dayan Viciedo will be coming. Viciedo was pulled after his first AB on Friday. Scott Merkin said via twitter that Viciedo is expected to join the Sox on Saturday and could see some time at firstbase. Viciedo is the first player since Brian Daubach to have back to back 20 homer seasons for the Knights
