The National Hockey League players association voted for the new collective bargaining agreement Saturday afternoon. The action ratified the new deal. Once the deal was official, the NHL released all 30 teams’ schedules.

Blackhawks Schedule Link: http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/schedule.htm?season=20122013&gameType=2#

The Blackhawks will start off on the road in Los Angeles this Saturday at 2 PM CST.  The Kings will raise their 2012 championship banner before the game. Then, they will go to Phoenix the following night (9 PM CST). After that, the Hawks will be on the road for eight of the next 10 games. The schedule evens out with a Hawks’ seven-game home-stand right after.  Chicago’s season will conclude April 27 as will travel to St. Louis to take on the Blues.

Disappointed that the Hawks released tickets for sale at 10:05PM Sat night with no notice. Seems like this wouldn’t cater to true fans – but rather to brokers and ticket ‘bots’. Lots of great games immediately sold out and are on StubHub and with brokers for a noticeable markup. Sad start.

Many fans were given rain checks from cancelled games. Not many tickets were sold last night and today.

Surprised you don’t feel that after the lockout a public announcement and formal time for single game ticket sales should have been announced…

The Blackhawks and NHL as a whole are going to have to work to win back fans – making it more difficult and (and expensive) to attend games isn’t a step in the right direction, IMO.

In the league’s defense, there really isn’t much time to get tickets and the schedule out; considering the first puck drop is in a week. Stub Hub is a really good way to get into games once sold out. I rarely use ticketmaster.
