On Monday, the NHL revealed that the Chicago Blackhawks would open the 2016-17 season at home against the St. Louis Blues. Now we know the entire schedule for the upcoming season.
Following the Oct. 12 game against St. Louis, the Blackhawks will hit the road for their first away game against Nashville on Oct. 14. The two teams will play again the next night in Chicago.
Aside from the opening night game against St. Louis, the biggest highlight on the schedule is another Stadium Series game. The Blackhawks and Blues will play at Busch Stadium on Monday, January 2 as part of the NHL’s Winter Classic Game.
The Blues eliminated the Blackhawks in seven games during the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs last season.
