The Chicago Blackhawks are just on fire right now.
With the 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators, the Blackhawks set a franchise record for consecutive wins at 12. The team broke the previous record from the 2012-13 season when they started 11-0. The Blackhawks went out to win the Stanley Cup that season.
Playing in a tough environment like Nashville and getting another win is huge for the team as they have taken over the lead in the Central Division. The team was 13 points out of first when the streak started in December.

The streak has been backed by the Patrick Kane and Corey Crawfords play which has been spectacular. Kane recorded his 30th goal and 41st assist in the win, and Crawford finished with just one goal allowed and notching his ninth-straight win.

For Crawford, it’s a little bit of redemption for being left off the All-Star Game roster for Nashville’s Pekka Rinne. He’s been fantastic all season long and really deserves to be there.
The Blackhawks are now five games away from the all-time streak of 17 held by the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1992-93 season.
