After some games with the Iowa Cubs, it appears as if Kyle Schwarber is returning to the big league roster.
According to ESPN reporter Jesse Rogers, Schwarber will be recalled from Triple-A Iowa on Thursday and join the Cubs for their one-game makeup against the Milwaukee Brewers and then a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates before the MLB All-Star Break.

The corresponding move will be pitcher John Lackey going to the 10-day DL with plantar fasciitis according to Rogers.
The 24-year-old Schwarber struggled to start the 2017 season after being named the team’s leadoff hitter on opening day.
Chicago decided to move Schwarber to Triple-A Iowa to work on his swing and get it back up to speed.
In 11 games for the Iowa Cubs, Schwarber hit .343, had a 1.192 OPS and had 4 home runs.
He joins the Cubs in a pivotal point in their season as they trail the Brewers by 3.5 games in the NL Central. But will Schwarber return to the leadoff spot?
Manager Joe Maddon hasn’t ruled out moving him back there.
Schwarber is expected to start in left field for Thursday’s game.
