If you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple weeks, the Chicago Cubs are searching for their new PA announcer. The organization posted an ad on CareerBuilder.Com and since then, many hopeful Cub fans and voice talents have been populating Youtube with their submissions.
After scanning many of the submissions for well over an hour, I’ve selected my choice as to who I believe should be chosen for the job. A collection of considerable voice talent, experience in the business, and a great Harrey Carey impression, is what won me over.
Without further ado, I introduce to you, the next voice of the Chicago Cubs…Jeff “Baseball Diamond” Blumberg of 107.9 WNCT.

Most of the submissions on Youtube aren’t very good but, when I came across this entry, I knew it was the winner. I would be very surprised if anybody was chosen over him.
Hands down, my brother Jeff is the best candidate and the biggest Cubs fan out there…He’s been impressiing his friends and family (and the public) for his whole life with his voice talents espcially as a DJ, public announcer and is unforgettable Harey Carey! Goooooo Jeff!
