The Chicago White Sox bounced back from Wednesday’s loss with an 8-0 blowout victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday afternoon. The southsiders were thankfully able to avoid another series sweep with Thursday’s win.
Starting pitcher Sean Burke only allowed two hits in six innings. The Sox bullpen did not allow a single hit in the final three innings of the game. The Sox offense exploded with Luis Robert going 2-4 with four RBIs. Miguel Vargas hit a three-run home run as well.

The Sox were able to improve their record to 8-23 on the year. Even though that record is still very awful, they have played much better baseball compared to the 2024 season.
The Chicago White Sox now lead the MLB in a very surprising category

The southsiders have won by 7 or more runs five times this season, as confirmed by the MLB in a post on X.

This ties for the most in the MLB. The other team happens to be the crosstown rivals, the Cubs.
Even though the record does not show it, the White Sox have improved more than we all thought. Hopefully, some more victories like this can continue.
The Sox will begin a three-game home series against the Houston Astros on Friday. Johnathan Cannon is expected to be on the mound for Friday’s game.
