Chicago Cubs prospect Jen-Ho Tseng will make his first career start as they make a shift in the rotation.
Manager Joe Maddon announced the move, making the decision to give Tseng a start on Thursday while sending Mike Montgomery to the bullpen.

The 22-year-old was just named the Cubs Minor League Pitcher of the Year and now days later will make his first start in the big leagues. In time spent with both Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa, Tseng posted a record of 13-4 with a 2.55 ERA.
That includes a 6-1 record with a 1.80 ERA in Iowa. He’s been one of the Cubs top pitching prospects for a few years now.
The move will give Montgomery a smaller workload as the Cubs hope to rest him up for a postseason run as he’s an important left-handed reliever for the Cubs.
Maddon also stated that Tseng will make one start then be evaluated from there.
