The Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants had a slug fest Thursday night as the National League powerhouses combined for 30 runs. The Cubs won the game, but it was a moment in the fourth inning that has everyone talking.
After striking out, outfielder Jason Heyward said something down to Dexter Fowler who was standing on second base. That didn’t sit too well with pitcher Madison Bumgarner who thought Heyward was talking to him.

To break it down, Bumgarner is upset and claims that Heyward was looking down to Fowler to steal signs from the pitcher:
So Bumgarner says Heyward claimed he wasnt yelling at him so "there is only other person he could be talking to" which was D. Fowler on 2nd

However, Heyward claims the opposite saying he was asking Fowler if the pitch was a strike or not:
Heyward said he merely was looking at Fowler to see if called third strike was a strike or ball. All a misunderstanding, he says.

Bumgarner talked to reporters after the game and he’s still convinced the two were stealing signs. “There’s only one other person for him to be talking to, and that’s down at second base,” Bumgarner said via CSN Bay Area. “He didn’t say anything to me. He just looked at me. It looked like he was upset and there’s only one reason for that.”
Despite the anticipated pitching matchup of Jake Arrieta versus Bumgarner, the game turned into one that favorited the hitters. Arrieta was pulled in the first and Bumgarner lasted just 3 2/3 innings.
It’s going to be fun when these teams see each other 6 times this season.
