NFL Free Agency is here!! It’s already shaping up to be an exciting one. The Bears have holes to fill on their defense and could use the free agency period as the first step in fixing them. Stick with us all day as we update the latest involving the Chicago Bears.

Tuesday, March 11

9:30 – Adam Schefter is reporting the Bears are in on Jared Allen. He is also talking to the Seahawks.

Would give the Bears a solution for the DE spot now. But not a long-term solution.

6:20 – The Bears have made it official. They have cut Julius Peppers.

4:51 – Adam Hoge provides a breakdown of Ryan Mundy.

4:47 – The Lamarr Houston and D.J. Williams deals are official.

 

4:45 – Bears have signed S Ryan Mundy to a 2-year deal. Story HERE.

3:36 – Safety market thin for the Bears. NFL Draft might be the best shot. Whitner and Bethea are gone.

3:15 – The Bears and D.J. Williams have agreed to a 1-year deal.

3:04 – Per Adam Scheter, The Bears and FA DE Lamarr Houston have agreed to a five-year $35M deal. Only $15M guaranteed. $7M annually on average.

3:02 – Per Jason La Confora, Free Agent QB Josh McCown will visit Tampa Bay first. Lovie and the Bucs are making a hard push for the veteran QB.

2:56 – The Cowboys will release DeMarcus Ware. Bears a suitor?

Monday, March 10

7:00 p.m. Bears are now targeting Raiders star defensive end Lamarr Houston after missing out on Michael Bennett. They are pushing hard”

4:15 p.m. – Per  Adam Schefter, the Bears are talking to teams about trading Julius Peppers.

4:10 p.m. –  Bears will release Michael Bush and Dante Rosario. The Bush has spent the past 2 seasons with the Bears and struggled at times last year. Bears will be players for a running back via free agency or NFL Draft.
