The Chicago Blackhawks are getting ready to take on the Nashville Predators in first round of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs and they may be getting one of their stars back.

With Kane's work on ice while Hawks were gone, I'm expecting 88 to be cleared 4 full contact practice tomorrow..Probable for GM 1 vs Nash

— Pat Boyle (@BoyleNBCS) April 12, 2015

According to Comcast SportsNet Chicago’s Pat Boyle, winger Patrick Kane is probable for game one of the series which begins on Wednesday. Kane has been cleared for full-contact practice on Monday after he’s been on the ice the past few days recovering from a shoulder injury. Kane’s recovery has gone better than expected as the star looks to be ready for the Predators series.

While Boyle reports Kane is probable for game one, Chicago Sun Times’ Mark Lazerus thinks Kane is more likely to return for game three of the series rather than game one. Lazerus also states that Kane took some contact at practice over the weekend, which is surely a good sign for the Blackhawks.

Patrick Kane was taking some contact over the weekend at Johnny's. He's close. I still think Game 3ish is a lot more likely than Game 1.

This is big news for the Blackhawks either way as it was expected Kane wouldn’t return until maybe the Western Conference Finals after suffering the injury in February. Now getting the star back in the first round against Nashville is big and could be the difference in the Blackhawks playoff run. No official word from the Blackhawks has been released yet and won’t be expected until the day of a game.

Game one between the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators is set for Wednesday Night at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. CST.
