For weeks now Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo has pleaded his case to pitch an inning in relief for the team. On Monday, he finally got his big chance.
With the game out of reach in the top of the ninth and two men out, manager Joe Maddon decided to make a change and move Rizzo to the mound to face a right-handed batter. It took two pitches, but Rizzo got the final out and has officially tallied an ERA of 0.00 for his career.

The game really didn’t go the Cubs way from the start with pitcher Luke Farrell giving up five runs in the top of the first inning and Chicago falling into a 6-0 hole after two. But if there was a bright spot on this cloudy performance, it came from Rizzo.
Now the biggest question remains: Will we see Rizzo pitch again?
