Cubs players show off karaoke skills

The Chicago Cubs continue to have fun, even on days that they lose.

After dropping the series finale 2-1 to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, some Cubs players went out and showed off their karaoke skills at Stanley’s Kitchen & Tap in Lincoln Park.

Anthony Rizzo, Travis Wood, John Lackey, Jon Lester, Dexter Fowler, Justin Grimm and Travis Wood were among some players who performed karaoke at a Lincoln Park bar. The players performed anything from rap to country and even a little *NSYNC for fans at the bar.

Here’s Rizzo, Fowler, Wood and Federowicz doing “Tearin’ Up My Heart” by *NSYNC, a 90’s classic:

They then switched it up to some country by performing “Wagon Wheel” along with Lackey and Lester:

The players weren’t done. Fowler did a rendition of Notorious B.I.G’s hit song “Big Poppa” as the crowd went wild. Rizzo also made an appearance in the song:

This is the second time the Cubs have appeared at Stanley’s to perform karaoke. Last season, following a four-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants, the team showed up to show off their singing skills. Theo Epstein even made an appearance.

After winning the series against the Pirates, the Cubs (27-9) have a day off on Monday and will travel to Milwaukee to open up a 9-game road trip against the Brewers, San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals.

It’s just another example as to why this team is so much fun.
