The Chicago Cubs are getting ready to play their first World Series game at Wrigley Field in 71 years as they host the Cleveland Indians in Game 3 on Friday night.
Center fielder Dexter Fowler will lead it off for the home team in the bottom of the first and when he does, he will do it in style.
Fowler will sport the Air Jordan retro 12 “Game Royal” cleat as he hopes to help lead the Cubs to a big win in the series. He’s been sporting the cleats in the playoffs and they are pretty damn awesome:
To celebrate the game tonight, Jordan Brand released the shoe to the public in limited quantities. The shoe retails for $95 and comes in a blue and black colorway. Metallic is also featured on the shoe, just rounding off the sleek design.
Fowler is no stranger to the Jordan Brand. He’s an official athlete of the brand and recently purchased retro Jordan’s for his teammates.
Look for Fowler to sport these tonight as he holds down center field and steps into the batters box.
