Tyler Scott, WR
Tyler Scott is another player who had big expectations when the Chicago Bears drafted him in the fourth round of the 2023 draft. There were many who felt he could be a steal. He possesses the quickness and speed to be a deep threat. However, it has not happened yet.
In his two seasons, Scott has just 18 receptions for 173 yards and no touchdowns. He has not been able to consistently find the field. Now in his third training camp, he could find himself as the odd man out.
The Bears signed Olamide Zaccheaus and Devin Duvernay, both of whom are speedy receivers. Zaccheaus was big for the Washington Commanders last season, catching 70.3 percent of his targets. Duvernay looks like he should be the starting returner this season. Additionally, the Bears drafted Luther Burden III in the second round.
Scott played in only 20 offensive snaps last season. Now he has all these other receivers to compete for practice/preseason snaps. He needs to make a big impression and do it early if he wants to steal snaps from the others and show that he deserves a roster spot with the Chicago Bears.
