3. Chase Claypool earns a new contract from the Chicago Bears
Mooney and Claypool will be in their final contract season with the Bears in 2023. Mooney has shown he can be a solid contributor early in his career in Chicago. However, his numbers and play fell off big time last season.
Poles has already invested in Claypool by giving the Pittsburgh Steelers a second-round pick for the former Notre Dame standout. Poles did so because Claypool has incredible talent. However, Claypool struggled to learn the offense following the trade last season.
Moore should open things up in the offense, and Claypool will benefit more than Mooney.
