On Headphone giveaway day at the ballpark he Cubs were looking to rock wrigley. The Cubs sent Chris Rusin to the mound ,and the Dodgers countered with Ricky Nolasco.

The Cubs got the scoring started with a bang in the bottom of the first. With one out Junior Lake came up to bat. He easily had his best at-bat of the season driving the count to 3-1 and then crushing a home-run to deep left to give the Cubs a 1-0 lead. Then on the very next pitch Anthony Rizzo shoots a home-run into right center to give the Cubs a 2-0 lead.

The Dodgers would later tie the game on a Hanley Ramirez two run triple in the top of the third. Cubs 2, Dodgers 2. The Cubs would take the lead right back in the bottom half of the inning. Junior Lake delivered again as he drilled a home-run into the left field bleachers. Cubs 3, Dodgers 2.

The score would remain that way until the top of the sixth when the dodgers had runners on second and third with one out. Pinch hitter Jerry Hairston preceded to single in two runs to give the Dodgers a 4-3 lead. Later that inning with Rusin still on the mound Adrian Gonzalez came up with runners on second and third two outs. A-gon laced a base hit up the middle scoring Hairston ,but Puig was gunned down at home  by David Dejesus. Dodgers 5, Cubs 3.

The Cubs would cut the lead to 5-4 in the bottom of the eighth on another Rizzo homerun this time into the bleachers in left. However in the top of the ninth Puigmania hit Chicago as he leaned into one and deposited into the bleachers in left giving the dodgers a 6-4 lead, and that proved to be the deciding factor.

The Cubs will be looking to get back to their winning ways on friday as they send Allstar Travis Wood(7-7, 2.79 ERA)to the mound, and the Dodgers will run Hyun- Jin Ryu (9-3, 3.14 ERA) out to the bump. First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 central time.
