Sox win 6th Straight

Could we be seeing another 11 game win streak? The way they are playing right no, how could you bet against them?

This game was all White Sox from the very beginning.  Andruw Jones in the 2nd inning, belted a single to deep left field which would score Paul Konerko and Carlos Quentin.  In the 4th inning AJ Pierzynski hit a home run making the game 3-0. It was his 5th of the season. With bases loaded and nobody out in the 5th innings Alexei Ramirez grounded into a double play, however, Gordon Beckam would score from third making it 4-0 Sox. Paul Konerko would connect for a double in the 8th scoring Alex Rios and also in the 8th AJ belted a three run home run, his 6th on the season, to give the Sox a 8-0 lead.  The only Royals runs would come in the 9th on the Betancourt 2 run shot. Sox 8 Royals 2.

Even though there was so much offense, we can’t forget the great pitching performance by Mark Buehrle. Mark allowed 6 scattered hits and no runs tonight.  Sergio Santos came in to pitch a perfect 8th but the biggest story might have been Jekk Marquez.  After being called up two nights ago, Marquez allowed 2 runs in the 9th.

The Sox will look for their 7th straight tomorrow.
